Restoring this bench for Leland Chapman was extremely rewarding and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It was very important to him that I save what I could from the old bench because Beth and Dog bought this bench for him not long before her passing. With that being the goal I was able to save all the bench wood and utilize all the original metal to create rustic accents.
The wheels were special ordered in Texas to be very close to the originals with slight upgraded changes. New rockers and bracing were also created. Once all the parts were finished being made they were color matched to the original bench wood to make this thing one of a kind.
